» The Myth of the 8 Hour Sleep

Apparently there was a time in the 17th century and before when there were two times appropriate for sleep. Once, one or two hours during dusk, and again an hour or two after that. People would do activities and be productive during their waking period and then go back to sleep. It’s interesting to noteĀ  the change in societal sleeping patterns.
